#GivingTuesday - a Great Way to Help Make a Difference and Increase Your Impact
Develop Africa is delighted to be a partner with GlobalGiving and Microsoft YouthSpark Initiative. YouthSpark is giving marketplace where you can fund and follow youth around the world. This company-wide initiative helps to create opportunities for 300 million youth around the world over the next three years. Microsoft YouthSpark empowers youth to imagine and realize their full potential by connecting them with greater opportunities for education, employment and entrepreneurship, helping them create a real impact for a better tomorrow.
Through this initiative, you will be able to donate towards the specific needs of specific youth. You will also receive a progress report seeing the impact of your donation.
#GivingTuesday Matching Campaign
Microsoft is proud to be a founding partner of #GivingTuesday, which will take place on December 3rd 2013 at Noon, following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday is a movement to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and to give back in better, smarter ways to the causes they support. Please add this to your calendar now!
In partnership with Global Giving, Microsoft is offering a one day matching campaign.
- The #GivingTuesday campaign will begin December 3rd, 2013, at 12:00:01 PM (noon) ET and will end December 4th, 2013, at 11:59:59 AM ET, or when matching funds run out.
- There is $250,000 available in matching funds from Microsoft
- Matching is applied at 100% for every $1 up to $1,000 per donor per project
- Only online donations (credit card or PayPal) are eligible for matching
Please make your donations early, because matching funds are likely to run out before the end of the matching period
For every dollar you give to one of our micro-projects, Microsoft will donate $1.00. For example, $100 donation becomes $200.
