Help Provide Computer Training For Youths With Matching Funds From Microsoft

Bonus matching day youthspark microsoft

Imagine living with ZERO or limited access to computers.  This is what life is like for Marion and hundreds of other disadvantaged youths in the Wellington community in Freetown.

Marion just completed her West African Senior Secondary School Examination and is awaiting her results to hopefully start university. She would like to become a lawyer.  She wants to become computer proficient as this will help her both when in college and also when practicing law.  By helping her to become computer proficient, we will be helping to make her dreams come true.

We now have the opportunity to make the dreams of computer literacy come true for Marion and hundreds of other youths.  Access to this computer lab and the Internet will open up a world of learning, growth and self-advancement opportunities for the beneficiaries in Wellington. Technology plays a huge role in educating and empowering people for success.  Access to knowledge and information broadens horizons and changes destinies.  This project will help bridge the Digital Divide.

On June 25th, Develop Africa is partnering with the tech pioneers at Microsoft and with the innovative online giving platform, GlobalGiving, to bring you the Microsoft YouthSpark BONUS DAY!   Beginning June 25th at NOON (EDT) until funds run out or June 26th at 11:59 AM, YOUR donation of any amount up to $1000 will be matched dollar for dollar, allowing for an even bigger impact on the youth we serve!

Families in Sierra Leone face unprecedented challenges due to rising costs. Inflation makes it difficult for them to afford basic food staples such as rice, cooking oil, and onions.

Extending a helping hand can alleviate a significant burden and provide essential relief to the less fortunate.
