eHealth Africa Team Provides Water Tank and Plumbing Supplies to Running Water Project

A team from eHealth Africa visited the Dream Home on June 30, 2017 – convening at the Grace Christians In Action Church. The meeting commenced with an opening prayer made by Mrs. Agnes Othello-Kargbo. Mr. Musa Komeh a staff of eHealth chaired the meeting. Mr. Joshua Sandy, the Coordinator of Dream Again Home. made the welcome address. He welcomed eHealth to the family of children that have lost their parents to the Ebola epidemic that claimed so many lives in Sierra Leone. He said these children have been through so many traumatic situations and emphasized that the kids deserve to live normal lives. He thanked eHealth for extending care and responsibility to the Dream Home kids.

The Deputy Country Director of eHealth Africa, Ms. Dayo Spencer-Walters, spoke about their organization’s involvement in health related issues with the Government and people of Sierra Leone. She expressed her joy of sharing with the Dream Home and promised that it will not be their last contribution to the Home. The head of Human Resources, Mrs. Patricia Jangah, thanked staff members for their cooperation and financial support – that enabled the contributions to the home – water tank, plumbing supplies and water pump. 

The children of Dream Home sang several songs. Members of the eHealth team and the Dream Home kids played games such as “musical chairs” and “hot potato”.  Four of the children – Aaron, Osman, Mabinty, and Dorcas shared their future dreams.  The entire group enjoyed music, dancing, and refreshments.

At the end of the ceremony, all attendees proceeded to the Dream Home. The official presentation of the water tank and other related items was done at the home. Joshua thanked eHealth again and said the donation will improve the lives of the kids. Ms. Spencer-Walters thanked everybody and affirmed that the team had a great day with the kids.

The kids closed out the day with a song about “making melody in my heart” that brightened everybody’s day.
