Technology Gap

The Developed World is characterized by increasing and efficient use of technology. Technology has generally improved life and business in all segments and sectors of society. However, unfortunately, the developing world has not kept pace with the growth in the developed world.

Technology affords tremendous opportunites in bridging the overall gap that exists between developing and dveloped countries.

 According to the United Nations:
"The ability to create, acquire and adapt new technologies is a critical requirement for competing successfully in the global marketplace. Various international forums and agreements on technology access and technological capacity building have recognized the importance of the transfer of technology, especially to developing countries. It is also a well-documented fact that the African continent has not kept pace with technological advancement.
