Develop Africa is a non-profit / charity organization headquartered in Tennessee, USA.
Develop Africa is a 501c3, non-profit organization founded with the aim of facilitating meaningful and sustainable development in Africa. Our focus is on impacting and changing lives, nations and destinies.
Develop Africa was born out of the vision that human resource development is the key to improving nation-building capacity in Africa. Develop Africa is involved in a range of programs in Africa supporting education, microfinance and small businesses, job skills / leadership development training etc.
The general history of Africa since achieving independence has been one of development failure. Develop Africa seeks to bridge the development deficit gap posed by the continent’s long years of mismanagement and rule. Develop Africa's strategic mandate is to raise a new generation of African leaders by focusing on the human capital aspect of development. We envision an African continent fully developed in terms of its human and resource capacity, free from poverty; ignorance, and civil conflict, and where the poorest and most vulnerable people become “leaders” and effectively manage their national resources.
Develop Africa's strategic mandate focuses on the following key components:
1. Transformational Education,
Through training, scholarship, investment and partnerships with NGO’s Develop Africa is committed to developing Africa’s resources and its vulnerable poor through the promotion of transformational education, resource development, investment training and strategic empowerment. Our premise is based on the notion that in order to change one’s personal, national or organizational status there must necessarily be a “change in the thinking and processing pattern of the mind.”
With a focus on resource and human development, Develop Africa is dedicated to effective approaches to address the challenges of developing nations in the area of education and resource development.
