1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of developafrica.org and our donation pages (the "site"), operated by Develop Africa, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Johnson City, Tennessee. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. About the site
The site provides information about Develop Africa's education programs in Sierra Leone and ways to support them. We may update, change, or discontinue any part of the site at any time.

3. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://www.developafrica.org/privacy-policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it.

4. Donations
Tax deductibility. Develop Africa is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 20-3836551). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We provide a receipt for each gift. Please consult your tax advisor about your situation.

Designated gifts. We honor donor designations. If a designated program is fully funded, completed, or can no longer be carried out, we will use the gift for a similar purpose where it is most needed.

Fiscally sponsored projects. Gifts made through our site to projects fiscally sponsored by Develop Africa are gifts to Develop Africa, which keeps legal control over how the funds are used, as required for tax-deductible giving.

Refunds. If you make an error, such as a duplicate gift or an incorrect amount, contact us within [30] days, and we will work with you to correct it. Otherwise, donations are generally non-refundable. Refunded gifts are not tax-deductible, and we will update your receipt accordingly.

Payment processing. Stripe processes online donations securely through our donor management platform, REACH. Develop Africa does not store your full card number. Gifts made through GlobalGiving or other platforms are also subject to those platforms' terms.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site to break any law; to post or send content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent; to impersonate any person or organization, including Develop Africa; to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems; or to introduce viruses or other harmful code.

6. Our content and name
The text, photos, videos, logos, and other materials on the site belong to Develop Africa or are used with permission. You may share our pages and use content for personal, non-commercial purposes with credit to Develop Africa. You may not use our name, logo, or materials to raise funds, suggest an endorsement, or for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We share photos and stories of students in our programs with care under our safeguarding policy. Please do not copy, repost, or use images of children from this site for any purpose.

7. Comments and submissions
If you send us comments, photos, or other materials, you confirm you have the right to share them, and you allow Develop Africa to use them to share our work, with credit where appropriate. We may remove any content at our discretion.

8. Copyright concerns
If you believe material on the site infringes your copyright, please contact us with a description of the work, where it appears on the site, and your contact information. We will review your concern and promptly remove infringing material.

9. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites and platforms we do not control. Links are provided for convenience and do not mean we endorse those sites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

10. Disclaimer
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE WORK TO KEEP INFORMATION ACCURATE AND CURRENT BUT DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SITE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVELOP AFRICA AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE.

12. Indemnification
You agree to hold Develop Africa harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the site or your violation of these terms.

13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Tennessee.

14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will update the date above.
