Empowering women is critical for fostering economic growth and achieving gender equality. Beyond being a matter of social justice, it is increasingly recognized as a strategic imperative for sustainable development and prosperity.

Investing in women's economic empowerment and skills development is a moral imperative and a strategic investment in the future. As pointed out by UN Women, it is one of the most urgent and effective means to drive progress on gender equality, poverty eradication, and inclusive economic growth.

Empower Women to Work

Empowering women fuels economic growth by unlocking their potential as contributors to workforce participation, entrepreneurship, and innovation. According to the World Bank, increasing female labor force participation could significantly boost GDP growth in many countries. When women are integrated into the formal economy, productivity increases, resulting in higher output and improved living standards.

Africa faces a mounting challenge of youth unemployment, reaching 71 million (International Labor Organization, 2017). In response, UNESCO prioritizes Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to equip youths with employable skills in high-demand fields.

We address this by providing computer training, tailoring, hairdressing, cosmetology, etc., and empowering hundreds of youths and young adults. These skills not only alleviate poverty but also foster economic growth and sustainability.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
