Thanks to your support, more students in Nigeria are getting the education they need through our partner organization in Nigeria, S.M.I.L.E.   One of the students who has benefited from S.M.I.L.E is Lekan who tells us in his own words how the support he has received is life-changing and how it is helping him have a bright future.

“My name is Lekan. I am being raised by my Grandmother who is a petty trader, with the help of uncles and aunts.  Before I came across S.M.I.L.E I did not know what I wanted to do with my life but through the S.M.I.L.E leadership program, I was lead to the path of purpose and self-discovery. The program helped me develop skills that will enable me to remain focused, achieve my goals and also help others. 

S.M.I.L.E is one of the best things that has happened in my life. I would not be where I am today without the support of the organization.  S.M.I.L.E. helped me enroll in professional ICT training with certification and also assisted me with the registration of my tech company. With the immense support and mentorship I have received, I am now at the University studying Philosophy. I am glad that I have found meaning in my life and now I reach out to other teenagers, encouraging them to stay away from drug and alcohol abuse.”
