Sending funds (instead of mailing a purchased gift) gives the greatest flexibility for children to get what they want. This is what we strongly recommend, after doing this for several years.

• While international gifts could be well appreciated, it is also possible that the Items sent might not be as valued in the local context  
• Kids change their minds. What they might ask for today might not be what they would most appreciate in 3-6 months
• It is often easier to purchase toys locally that children are already familiar with
• Shipping internationally can be unpredictable and boxes can get lost/damaged in the mail. 
• The local coordinator will discuss with the child/family and decide together on the most appropriate gift. 

To pursue this option, simply make a one-time donation through our site and add a note mentioning the name of your sponsored child / desired beneficiary.
