Thank you for the donations that we received to help bridge the "digital divide" for the young ladies at the Creating Pathways Centre. At this point, we have not raised adequate funds to get internet access yet. Every bit helps move us in the direction of bridging the gap.

We greatly appreciate your ongoing support that enables more students to achieve computer literacy. Thanks to you more youths and young adults are getting the needed computer skills and are now able to secure better jobs.
Baindu is one of the youths who is benefiting from the computer training. In this video, she shows us how she is learning to use Microsoft Word.

Schools are currently closed and will reopen in september, but please watch Jeminatu, who is in class 4 (or 4th grade) explain some of the skills she has learned this past school year- formatting text and insering a table.

You can watch the video of Jeminatu here- https://youtu.be/TppmuGnyTXU

The ladies received a visit in March from Umaru Fofana, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Journalist in Sierra Leone. He was delighted to see how we are supporting the girls during this transition season in their lives. He interviewed some of the girls and Abu, who oversees the program.
Bendu tells us in the interview:

Congratulations! We have together helped to provide training for girls since November 2011. This means 4 different set of graduates have benefited from this technology initiative.
The girls have learned a variety of tasks including the following:
Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign
On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands
of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.
Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.
Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.
Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
