Future Liberian Leaders in School

Your support is helping underprivileged children in Liberia stay in school, effectively learn, and get a decent education. By upgrading the quality of education offered in schools, we are helping to transform communities and the entire nation. Investing in children's education is critical for a nation's development.

One of the students your support is helping in Liberia is Alex, pictured here. Alex is only four, but he already loves going to school and enjoys writing and spelling. He also enjoys playing football and he helps his mom wash dishes.

On the day they paid my fees, I wept...

Here's a heart-warming story from Blessing. Support was provided in conjunction with S.M.I.L.E.

In her own words...

I know the value of getting an education and the benefits it has in giving more opportunities for people like me from low-income backgrounds.

After graduating from high school, I didn’t bother sitting for the university entrance examination offered by JAMB because it was glaring my family can’t afford any fees and I’ve just been lucky to get a secondary school education provided freely by the government.

School Supplies Distributed in Cameroon

Your continued support of students in Cameroon is greatly appreciated. Collette Bekaku, Founder/Executive Director CAPEC Cameroon partnered with her church, the United Methodist Women Association Cameroon – UMWAC and Develop Africa to create a project called “One child, one pencil” to collect and ship school supplies to students in Cameroon.

Flood Affected Family Receives Ongoing Support

We greatly appreciate your on-going support that continues to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown.   Many families in Sierra Leone were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place in August of 2017.   The Dumbuya family lost everything including their youngest daughter in the flood disaster.

With your support, we provided the Dumbuya family with a new, safe home and items to go in their home including a wide range of food, cooking items, clothing, school supplies, and scholarships.
