Students Begin School with New Uniforms and Shoes

Because of YOU, our students returned to school properly dressed with smiles on their faces.

School reopened on the 4th of January. The kids were excited to be back in school after three weeks of Christmas Break. This is the start of a new academic year that will last until mid-July.

Kids Enjoy Reading and Using School Supplies in Cameroon

Thanks to the donation of books and school supplies by the general public and financial support from our donors, the kids at the CAPEC school in Cameroon are now happily learning.

The books and school supplies were donated by individuals globally. Shipping costs were covered by Develop Africa and our donors.

In this video, Kids Enjoy Reading and Using School Supplies in Cameroon, you can see the children in class enjoying the books and school supplies they received.

4 Solar Lights Brighten 4 Students' Lives in Sierra Leone

Thanks to our donors, we received a total of $245 in donations to purchase solar lights.

These funds provided four D-light S300 solar lights to help 4 students at the Dream Home do homework at night whenever they have power cuts in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This is a welcome provision of a safe, reliable light source that they need to read at night - as power supply is irregular.

Creating Pathways Girls Received Radios, Computers, and Training

Thanks to YOU, our Develop Africa donors, we have made much progress.

Since our last report, project beneficiaries received solar-powered Polaris radios and new computers. The computers were set up at the Creating Pathways Centre's new computer lab. Computer training for the girls is scheduled to start soon.  Some of the radios were provided in partnership with Lifeline Energy.

Educate a Girl... - Meet Fatu - Project Beneficiary

According to Huffington Post - "The Brookings Institution affirms that educating a girl in particular can kick-start a virtuous circle of development. More educated girls, for example, marry later, have healthier children, earn more money that they invest back into their families and communities, and play more active roles in leading their communities and countries." ~ There's No More Valuable Investment Than in a Girl's Education

CAPEC School - 7 Drums of School Books and Supplies Received

Thank YOU, for your continued support. Because of YOU, more children at Bitame Lucia Nursery and Primary School in rural Cameroon receive the education they need.

The new school year began with a big surprise. We received 7 big drums full of books, bags and other education materials. The kids now have the essential school tools they need for the school year and beyond. The supplies of books also enabled us to open a library and resource center. This center is going to serve the school and the Nkolfoulou community at large.

YOU made this happen! Thanks so much.
