Solar Lights for the new School Year

We are so thankful for your continued support that is helping future leaders have the ability to study at night.  Lack of electricity is a challenge for many communities across Sierra Leone and school students living in those communities find it very challenging to read their notes and do their assignments at night.  Thanks to your support these students are receiving solar-powered lights like Bintu who was delighted to receive a solar light.

Your Educational Support for Young Girls, Impacts the Nation

We greatly appreciate your support, which is helping young ladies get their education like Elizabeth and Hannah. These are only two of the girls that your support has directly impacted.   Elizabeth is finishing her first year in Senior Secondary School (SSS1). She loves going to school and would like to become a journalist. Hannah is finishing class 4 this year. She loves dancing and going to school.

Twins are Closer to Their Future Goals

We greatly appreciate your educational support for future leaders and twins, Isatu & Konnie.   Your support helped cover some of their school-related expenses including tuition, books, school supplies, uniforms, and other related expenses for school this year.

Isatu and Konnie were both very thankful for the support they received.    Konnie would like to be a teacher when she finishes her education & Isatu would like to be a nurse when she completes her education.

Nofisat Continues to Make a Difference in Nigeria Thanks to You!

Your support is making a difference for future leaders in Nigeria, like Nofisat, who after reading the Pencil Project book, was inspired to start a social impact project for underprivileged students.   With your ongoing support, we were able to ship more school supplies to Nigeria for Nofisat to continue distributing to students in underserved primary schools.

Marthline is Thankful to YOU!

We greatly appreciate your educational support for future Liberian Leader, Marthline.   Your support helped cover all Marthline’s school-related expenses including tuition, books, school supplies, uniforms, and other related expenses for school this year.

Marthline helps her mother clean, cook, wash dishes and fetch water from their well. When Marthline is at school, she enjoys coloring, playing kickball and learning more about becoming a doctor, her desired future career.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
