In Sierra Leone, girls' education plays a pivotal role in driving societal progress, fostering economic development, and promoting gender equality. Despite meaningful gains in recent years, significant barriers persist — making it essential to prioritize and protect girls' access to education at every level.

Thank for your continued support that is enabling students, like Christiana, to complete their education. Christiana received a scholarship for her final year of Senior Secondary School.  Her next step will be to work toward becoming a banker, her desired future profession.

Our microfinance or microcredit loans give individuals a helping hand to get their businesses going or to help them grow their existing businesses.   Stella is one of the small business owners that recently benefitted from a microfinance loan.   

Through your support, Mary has received some of the funding she needs to advance her education. We are so very grateful for your support that is getting Mary closer to her goal of going to college and study Economics. We are excited about the future that is in store for her.

Per UNICEF, In country after country, educating girls yields spectacular social benefits for the current generation and those to come. An educated girl tends to marry later and have healthier children. The children she does have will be more likely to survive; they will be better nourished and better educated. She will be more productive at home and better paid in the workplace.
