Computer Training Helps Youths Secure Jobs

In today's computer-driven society, as you all know, computer literacy is absolutely essential.  This is increasingly so for the upcoming generation, who are trying to enter the job market.

During the trip that Phillip and Sylvester made to Sierra Leone last year, they had opportunity to meet Andrew, the Project Coordinator for AID Sierra Leone.  Andrew is responsible for coordinating the computer training sessions.

Andrew

We wanted to share with you a video where Andrew expresses gratitude and a  "a very big “thank you” to Develop Africa and you - the donors who helped to provide the computer training.  He explains in the video that the training has been very beneficial to the youths / young adults, helping them to secure jobs. As he says "we have people now working in different places".  Watch the video.

It's always great to hear good news of progress and that lives are being helped and empowered.  This is heart warming.  Together we can rejoice of having helped equip and prepare several young adults for the work force.  This is significant as their lives will never be the same again.  Thanks for helping to make this happen.  We deeply appreciate your on-going support - that will help us continue to offer the training to many more deserving youths and young adults.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
