Educating Girls Reduces Poverty

Oct 17th was the International Day of Eradication of Poverty and education is a proven way to alleviate poverty and bring lasting change.

"To Educate Girls is to Reduce Poverty"- Kofi Annan

One of the girls your support has recently helped is Milicent who recently received school supplies and tuition support for this school year. She is starting Senior Secondary School (SSS) this year which is equivalent to high school. Her favorite subject is English and she would like to become a nurse when she completes school.

She expressed her thanks in this video saying, "Good morning, everybody, my name is Milicent, one of the beneficiaries of this great organization. On behalf of me and my colleagues, I want to say thank you for everything you have done for us, to the donors outside this country I want to say thank you to them. To the organization, I appreciate them, and the staff of the organization I want to say thank you for supporting us. I want to say thank you for everything you have done for us. Thank you all."

Because of poverty, many African girls are unable to complete their education, but your support is helping change that. Thank you for helping to pave the way to a brighter and better future for young ladies in Sierra Leone through education. You are truly making a difference for girls with your generous support.

A monthly donation is the most effective way to help girls get their education. Every dollar donated makes a difference!

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
