Empowering Students: A Heartfelt Thank You to Mark and Computer Equipment For Kids

Students using the computer lab in Sierra Leone

At Develop Africa, technology is more than just equipment—it’s a pathway to opportunity.

In this video, Sylvester Renner shares a personal thank-you message recognizing Mark Bartlett of Computer Equipment for Kids (and the donors who support this organization).

Their in-kind and financial donations have helped provide laptops and an assortment of essential technology that students use daily to learn, research, and build foundational digital skills.

Sylvester shares his gratitude directly from the lab:

"I want to say thank you so much for all the technology and laptops that you've been helping to provide for all of our students. Everything is going well here, and we deeply appreciate all the support."

Because of this support, students are gaining hands-on computer experience in an environment previously unavailable to them. These tools are strengthening teaching, expanding access to information, and preparing young people for secondary school, college, work, and beyond.

To Mark, and to every donor who has helped equip classrooms and labs like this one: thank you so much for standing with our students and believing in their potential.

From the Develop Africa team, from educators on the ground, and from the students using this equipment every day — thank you, Mark, for backing education with action.

Support like this changes classrooms. It changes confidence. It changes futures.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
