Encouraging Girls to Learn Math and Science

There is a big gap in education between boys and girls.

Girls are less likely to enroll in secondary education, and even more likely to finish. This is a tragedy !

It's crippling communities who need educated women to participate in the development of their nations as well as the strengthening of their economies. Of the many barriers that African girls face poverty is the main reason why girls fall out of school.

There are many African girls that need our support. We believe they all have important potential that should be nurtured

Hannah (pictured right) works very hard to be a good student. She loves math and science.

We at Develop Africa understand the importance of girls taking an interest in STEM fields, and want to continue to encourage her to pursue her ambition to become a medical doctor. Africa needs more doctors like her. Hannah will have a bright future thanks to generous donors like you .

Hannah lives with her mother in a one bedroom apartment with no electricity or running water. She helps her mother by keeping their home tidy. During her free time, she enjoys reading African storybooks and dancing.

You can help Hannah or other girls like her by starting the sponsorship of a girl today . Sponsorship gives girls the tools that they need to succeed: tuition, school uniforms, supplies, and food. Please give the gift of education today.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.

👉 Help provide pencils by donating today!
