Recommended: Send your package to our shipper in Maryland or our office in Tennessee. You will be responsible for all costs associated with shipping, which will be around $50 per box from the shipper or our office to Africa 

Also suggested would be a note with your package indicating who should be receiving the package and who it is from so that we can share photos and responses with you from your sponsored child once the package arrives in Africa.  
 

• The primary focus is the child and the family. This is the initial focus of child sponsorship funds. Funds are provided directly to the family to cover the child's schooling, health and related costs. In some instances, we provide funds directly to the school / institution.  

Yes, we can and will be happy to select a child for you / assign a child to you.  Simply email us at child@developafrica.org and we will respond in 1-2 business days.

Yes, you are welcome to set up your recurring child sponsorship the way that fits you best, whether monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

Yes - you can sponsor a child from any country.  We have child sponsors for several countries worldwide - outside the USA - including Australia, England, Canada, Armenia, and Belgium. 

We also have people like you donating monthly from additional countries, including Croatia and Cyprus.  So - as you see - we receive support from like-minded people worldwide.

If you are considering sponsoring or have begun within the last 90 days, all available information about a child is located on our sponsorship website. General information and recent photos can be found there.

We are happy to accommodate requests for updated photos or additional information about a child after a sponsor has been supporting a child for a period of three months or longer.
