Girls Protected at Night

One of the challenges girls face in Sierra Leone is the threat of Malaria.  Thanks in part to your ongoing support, mosquito nets treated with insecticide were distributed to young ladies following a recent mentoring meeting.  The young ladies were very thankful for the mosquito nets they received.

In 2018, the African region was home to 93% of malaria cases and 94% of malaria deaths. These long-lasting insecticide-treated nets (ITNs) or mosquito nets create an effective barrier and provide protection from mosquito bites, which continues to aid in the decrease of malaria cases and deaths.

Girls Protected at Night

By helping prevent Malaria, you are helping these girls stay healthy and in school where they can continue their education. Your support continues to change girls' lives. Our recurring donors are making a continuous impact and we are truly grateful for the ongoing support.

If you are not yet a recurring donor, we warmly invite you to consider setting up a recurring donation.  Even a few dollars a month will go a long way for girls' education.

Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting girls' education.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
