Granddaughter Supported Thanks to Microfinance Loan

Your generous support is continuing to help provide microfinance loans, which helps small businesses like Adama's petty trading business. The goal of microfinance loans is to provide parents/guardians with the ability to support their families.

Adama, her husband, and her granddaughter, Mabinty live in Freetown. Adama uses her microfinance loan to do petty trading to make money to support her granddaughter, Mabinty, who lives with her.  Since Adama received her Develop Africa Sierra Leone interest-free microfinance loan, she has been able to start and maintain her small business.

Your support is helping individuals like Adama become self-sufficient and provide a better life for their families. Our recurring donors truly make a lasting difference. If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we encourage you to consider starting a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way to give individuals a hand up in their businesses.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
