From the point of another youth i see that sports can have a significant impact on how african children view certain things and can lead to growth of children from a young age, because i believe from being a kid myself that kids look up to older people and for sum that might be family members and for others its people like Messi for soccer or Babe ruth for baseball and Usain bolt for track. No matter what sport it is, all of them give kids a chance to look up to them, and that goes for children across the world, but especially for kids in Africa who are not so fortunate to have access to sports, whether it's a way to watch or participate.
I also believe in helping those who are less fortunate because not everyone wakes up to breakfast or a loving family. Some wake up not knowing when or if they are even going to eat that day, or not, and that's why it's essential to give those less fortunate kids a chance at everything that other kids take for granted, because not everyone grows up the same. No one knows truly what others are going through when you're not around or when they leave school.
Sports can also have a positive impact on the community by building bridges with other youth and the community they are part of, transcending economic, social, and ethnic barriers. Engaging in sports not only promotes physical health but also cultivates teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills. These attributes are crucial for personal development and can spark a sense of belonging among young people, empowering them to take an active role in their communities.
It can also serve as a form of character development through coaching and mentorship, allowing them to focus not only on their schooling but also on pursuing their dreams of becoming a big sports star. Additionally, it will enable kids to mingle with others of their own age and from different ethnic backgrounds, thereby helping to shape them into strong, well-rounded individuals. By their very nature, sports activities demand perseverance, teamwork, discipline, and leadership, all of which foster confidence and motivation for personal growth.
The youths are undoubtedly among the most impressionable members of society, making sports programs that are both effective and well-structured excellent tools for developing character in young people. It is crucial to start participating in sports at a young age since the lessons one can acquire from athletics can be incredibly beneficial, character-defining, and life-altering.
These are the reasons why it's essential to help and give as much as possible to the youth of Africa, because most youth there don't have the same opportunities or advantages that the youth here (In the US) take for granted.
