Kamawornie Students are Thankful for the School Supplies

Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated as it continues to make an impact on the future leaders in Sierra Leone.  Abu, a member of the Develop Africa Sierra Leone staff, traveled to the remote village of Kamawornie to distribute school supplies and solar lights. He says in this video-

The supplies are here and we are very, very excited to be handing over these supplies to our beneficiaries and all of them will have something to smile about. Thank you very much for making this possible because your support towards Develop Africa is making a huge difference in a community like this deprived and a community that is very remote but where kids always want to smile because somebody's making them smile.

The students at Kamawornie primary school said, “Thank you for the pencils, we love you all!”

The students at the Kamawornie Secondary school said, “Thank you for the pens and pencils, we love you all!”

At the Kamawornie village, the village chief, teachers, and families expressed their overwhelming joy and appreciation to Develop Africa Sierra Leone for their continuous educational support towards school going kids in their village.

Our recurring donors are truly making a lasting difference.  If you haven't had the chance to sign up for a recurring donation yet, we warmly welcome your ongoing support as we continue to provide children in Sierra Leone with the educational resources they need to be the future leaders of Sierra Leone.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
