Let's help end poverty in Sierra Leone

Dear Supporters,

Did you know that Sierra Leone is grappling with one of the highest poverty rates globally? Over 50% of its population lives below the poverty line, facing immense challenges daily. At the heart of this struggle lies a lack of education.

Education: The Key to Breaking the Cycle of Poverty

Children growing up without access to quality education often find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle of generational poverty. Education is the cornerstone of empowerment, offering individuals the knowledge and skills needed to build a brighter future.

Help End Poverty Through Education

As we mark the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, we urge you to join us in providing education to the future leaders of Sierra Leone. Your contribution, no matter how modest, can impact the lives of these young individuals.

Ways You Can Help:

  • $10 supplies an elementary student with essential school supplies (3 notebooks, pencils, crayons, backpack).
  • $25 provides a student with a school uniform and shoes.
  • $35 equips a secondary school student with the necessary supplies (notebooks, pens, pencils, backpack, calculator, ruler, markers, etc.).
  • $50 covers the cost of a solar light, ensuring students can study even after sunset.
  • $150 supports the tuition of a vocational training student, offering practical skills for employment.
  • $250 covers one semester of education for a college student, opening doors to higher opportunities.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
