In August 2025, ten laptops were donated to Bitame Lucia International School in Cameroon through our long-time partners, Computer Equipment for Kids. The laptops were delivered by a medical team visiting the region, helping bridge the digital gap for students who previously had limited access to technology.

According to Collette Bekaku, Founder and Executive Director of CAPEC, in her appreciation mail to Develop Africa, the laptops have transformed the school’s learning environment:

On behalf of our students and staff, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation of laptops to our college students. The laptops have brought a remarkable transformation to our teaching and learning process.

Students are now using the laptops for research, digital literacy lessons, and interactive classroom activities. Teachers have integrated the devices into daily instruction, enabling students to access online learning materials, improve typing and ICT skills, and explore global knowledge beyond textbooks.

This donation has truly opened new doors of opportunity for our learners, especially in our community where access to technology is limited. The joy and excitement on the students’ faces as they use the laptops for the first time are a clear testimony of the impact you have made.
