Partnership with CAPEC Expands

In Develop Africa's on going mission to develop Africa, we have partnered with the Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child (CAPEC). Since its inception in 2002, CAPEC has been working with children/youths, parents, Government and intergovernmental bodies in the promotion of issues related to the welfare and rights of children and youths in Cameroon. It works to identify and remedy the needs of children and youths, especially the underprivileged in the rural areas through a participatory approach.

Recent Partnership Activities

  • Develop Africa is a proud sponsor of two children in Cameroon through CAPEC.  Develop Africa will continue this partnership and expand sponsorship to other orphans in the coming weeks - available through our site.
  • Pencils recently collected through our Pencil Project will also be sent to CAPEC.  Pencils are a simple, often overlooked but vital learning resource.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
