This Child Sponsorship Update gives you a look into the relationship/communication between children and their sponsors. This letter is from Alusine to his sponsor.

Because of your continued support students in six schools in the Garoua 1 District of Garoua, Cameroon recently received school supplies. The students at each school were delighted to receive the school supplies.
The supplies were recently distributed in partnership with the US Army in Cameroon and Spirit of America. Your donations helped cover some of the administrative and logistics costs.
One of the US Army soldiers that participated in the distribution explained that:
We greatly appreciate your support that is helping future leaders in Ghana get a healthy meal. There are 250 students at Kissinger School, which is located in Eastern rural Ghana, that are able to get a healthy meal at school thanks to your support. For some of these children, the school lunch is the only meal they will eat all day. The school lunch includes beans stew and gari, a product made from cassava.
We greatly appreciate your on-going support that continues to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown. Many families in Sierra Leone were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place in August of 2017. Your support helped build a new home for a family that lost everything in the flood.
We greatly appreciate your educational support for future Liberian Leader, Marthline. Your support helped cover all Marthline’s school-related expenses including tuition, books, school supplies, uniforms, and other related expenses for school this year.
Marthline helps her mother clean, cook, wash dishes and fetch water from their well. When Marthline is at school, she enjoys coloring, playing kickball and learning more about becoming a doctor, her desired future career.
We are truly grateful for your ongoing support that most recently helped support teachers at the Vocational Tailoring Institute. The teachers had not received a salary in several months and were very thankful for your generous support. One of the teachers expressed her gratitude in this video saying-
On behalf of the Baptist Tailoring Institute, I want to say a big thank you to Develop Africa for your wonderful support towards our salaries
Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign
On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands
of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.
Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.
Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.
Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
