Have you ever desired to get to know more about the children that we are supporting in Africa?  Well, you are certainly not alone.  As a Project Leader, I love to see the photos of the children and in particular to listen to videos of the children.  This helps me to better understand their needs, desires, and aspirations and to stay connected. 

Featured Story:  Two siblings - Adithya and Samyu - are doing remarkable good and have developed a program called Pencils For Presents.  They, together with their friends and family, are collecting school supplies to send to developing nations, especially those in Africa.

Children in Africa are in dire need of school supplies. The average classroom lacks the basic essential school supplies that make for a meaningful educational experience for kids.  Develop Africa is responding to this need and helping to provide school supplies to school children in Africa.

Here's a progress update from the field from a smiling young man called Abdul that is sure to warm your heart. 

Develop Africa in partnership with AID SL offered a month of computer training in office applications that helped Abdul transition from computer illiteracy to literacy. The training made a smiling Abdul "well equipped". Consequently, he explains, he has obtained a job offer and will start work in 2 weeks.
