A single solar light can do more than illuminate a room. It can open the door to learning, confidence, and opportunity.

Through the partnership between SolarBuddy and Develop Africa, children, students, and families at Assembly of God Church in Sierra Leone received solar study lights to help them continue learning after sunset.

For many learners, unreliable electricity makes evening study difficult. These portable solar lights provide a dependable source of light, allowing students to read, complete assignments, and prepare for exams whenever they need to.

One university student shared how meaningful the gift is:

"For me, this light is very important because, as a university student living in Sierra Leone with constant light issues, I will be needing it to study. Thank you all for giving us this light. We appreciate you."

The distribution brought together children, parents, church leaders, and community members in a celebration of hope and education. Along with the solar lights, beneficiaries received encouragement to use them as tools for learning and personal growth.

Speaking on behalf of the pastors and members of Assembly of God Church, Develop Africa staff member Emeka expressed the community's gratitude for the partnership and the impact it will have on learners from primary school through college.

The church also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the lights are used for their intended purpose—supporting education and helping students succeed.

Every solar light distributed represents more than a practical gift. It represents opportunity, dignity, and hope for a learner striving for a brighter future.
