On Monday, July 20, 2026, golf enthusiasts, community leaders, and supporters gathered at the picturesque Echelon Golf Club in Alpharetta, GA, for the annual Swing FORE Change Golf Tournament.

Hosted by former NFL Wide Receiver Mohamed "Mo" Sanu and the Must Be Nice Executive Club in partnership with Develop Africa, the high-energy event brought together competitive play, cultural celebration, and community giving—all centered around a shared mission to empower the next generation in Sierra Leone.

Driving Real Impact in Sierra Leone

While the competition on the course was fierce, the true focus of the day was off the green. Every swing, sponsorship, and registration directly contributed to the completion and equipping of a new multi-purpose community center in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Once fully equipped, this center will serve as a hub for local development:

• 1st Floor: Workspaces designed to incubate local entrepreneurs and small businesses.

• 2nd Floor: A community hall hosting leadership seminars, educational events, and community gatherings.

• 3rd Floor: A state-of-the-art computer lab offering vital digital literacy and vocational training to youth and adults.

The day kicked off at the clubhouse entrance with player check-in, event gear, and a live drumline performance that set the tone before players headed to their carts.

From launch monitor tracking and long-drive contests along the water to specialty vendor stations on the course, players enjoyed an interactive day on the green. Tournament host Mohamed Sanu joined golfers on the course, showing off his skills on the putting green and teeing off alongside participants.

Heartfelt Words and Cultural Unity

Inside the clubhouse, guests gathered for presentations, refreshments, and inspiring remarks. A powerful highlight of the afternoon was a speech by Mohamed Sanu's mother, who shared passionate words about the direct, life-changing impact the new center will bring to families in Sierra Leone.

Attendees also proudly displayed the Sierra Leone national flag, symbolizing the strong bond between global supporters and the local communities receiving aid.
