Thank You, Commercial Group, for Supporting Computer Training in Sierra Leone

Develop Africa extends sincere appreciation to Commercial Group for their generous donation of essential technology equipment. The items provided include monitors, laptops, computer mice, laptop chargers, iPads, and mobile phones.

This support comes at a critical time.

At Develop Africa, we work directly with students to build practical computer skills that prepare them for academic success and future employment. Many of the students we serve have limited access to digital tools. For some, our training sessions are their first real exposure to computer work.

The donated equipment will strengthen our training sessions in several ways:

  • More students will have hands-on access during classes.

  • Training sessions will run more smoothly with reliable devices.

  • Students will gain experience using real-world tools, including laptops and tablets.

  • Our team can expand structured computer literacy programs.

Access to technology is no longer optional. Basic digital skills are required for school assignments, job applications, communication, and entrepreneurship. When students lack devices, they fall behind. When they gain access, they build confidence and independence.

Daniel, a staff member at Develop Africa Sierra Leone, expressed the team's and the students' appreciation. The equipment will directly support ongoing computer training programs and improve the learning experience for everyone involved.

Partnerships like this make a measurable impact. A monitor is not just a screen. A laptop is not just hardware. These tools represent opportunity, access, and growth.

We are grateful to Commercial Group for investing in education and equipping students with resources that will serve them well beyond the classroom.

Together, we can continue expanding access to technology and practical education.

Make a Difference Today: Donate to the Year of the Pencil Campaign

On November 20th, this movement placed over 100,000 pencils into the hands

of children across Sierra Leone in 20 schools.

Each pencil tells a story — of hope, opportunity, and possibility.

Education is more than lessons — it’s liberation.

Every $25 helps children write their dreams.
