Impact story: Beyond Sponsorship: 10 Years of Growth, Mentorship, and Opportunity

Mattia, a civil engineering student and 10-year beneficiary, reflects on what being part of Develop Africa has meant to him. Through consistent sponsorship—from primary school through university—he was able to pursue the education he once only dreamed about. Tuition fees were covered, school needs were met, and his academic journey remained uninterrupted.

But the support went beyond finances.

Girls Mentoring Session Sponsored by Ubuntu for Humanity

On December 14, 2024, 35 girls participated in a mentoring session led by Miss Naomi Kpukumu on the critical topic of Handling Peer Pressure and Social Media Influence. This mentoring session was made possible thanks to Ubuntu for Humanity. 

Girls' Mentoring Skit- "Don't Do It"

Girls' mentoring sessions are held throughout the year covering a multitude of topics. One topic was drug abuse and its effects, and to make it more interactive the girls were split into groups and were told to write their own play and then act out the skit on why youngsters resorted to taking drugs and how they could seek help if they were struggling with drugs.
