Flood Affected Siblings Get Extra Educational Support

Your on-going support is greatly appreciated and continues to bring hope and normalcy to flood victims in Freetown.   Many families in Sierra Leone were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place in August of 2017, including the Dumbuya family who lost everything in the flood.  

Future Liberian Leaders in School

Your support is helping underprivileged children in Liberia stay in school, effectively learn, and get a decent education. By upgrading the quality of education offered in schools, we are helping to transform communities and the entire nation. Investing in children's education is critical for a nation's development.

One of the students your support is helping in Liberia is Alex, pictured here. Alex is only four, but he already loves going to school and enjoys writing and spelling. He also enjoys playing football and he helps his mom wash dishes.

Seedlings are continuing to Grow

We are excited that the seedlings planted over the summer are continuing to grow.  These seedlings while still not very big, are the start of reforestation, which is crucial in Sierra Leone.  Your ongoing support is helping reverse deforestation in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Success Tall Academy Appreciates YOU!

Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated as it continues to make an impact on the students at Success Tall Academy.  Thanks in part to support from GlobalGiving donors backpacks were distributed to twenty students attending the Success Tall Academy Primary School on November 20, 2019.  Each student received one backpack containing- seven exercise books, one packet colored pencils, five pens, one ruler, one packet sharpeners and two erasers.

New Set of Girls Excitedly Start Computer Training

Thanks to your support, a new set of girls at the FAWE school excitedly started classes this fall. 

Classes started with the introduction to computers including the following topics (definition of computer, functions of a computer, computer components, which include hardware and software, input and output devices, examples of input and output devices, the central processing unit (CPU), primary and secondary Memory, Software types, System Software, Application Software, Unit of measurement, Storage measurement and Computer Classification).
