Thanks to our donors, 3 students - Alfred, Joshua and Joseph have been receiving computer training. This training is specifically tailored towards helping them become Professional Accountants.

Develop Africa is deeply grateful for the support and partnership of like-minded organizations that are committed to making a difference in Africa.  This support enables us to provide on-going assistance.

In December 2015, Develop Africa received a generous check and 22 school bags (with a wide range of school supplies) from the Krio Descendants Union (KDU), Houston Chapter.  This donation was for the Dream Home, an orphanage for Ebola orphans in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Thanks to our donors, we received a total of $245 in donations to purchase solar lights.

These funds provided four D-light S300 solar lights to help 4 students at the Dream Home do homework at night whenever they have power cuts in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This is a welcome provision of a safe, reliable light source that they need to read at night - as power supply is irregular.

Thanks to YOU, our Develop Africa donors, we have made much progress.

Since our last report, project beneficiaries received solar-powered Polaris radios and new computers. The computers were set up at the Creating Pathways Centre's new computer lab. Computer training for the girls is scheduled to start soon.  Some of the radios were provided in partnership with Lifeline Energy.

Thanks to YOU, we are making a difference for girls who have dropped out of school.

"I want to say thanks to Develop Africa for providing sewing machines to help us with our jobs.

We have been able to bring together a number of dropouts from the community and encouraged them to practice tailoring in order to avoid teenage pregnancy because most of them are girls.
